still obsessed....

As soon as I stop moving around so much I swear I'm going to invest in a new aquarium. I love the idea of using an old television set as the aquarium base, but there are so many other pieces of furniture that could just as easily be converted.

And check out these little repurposed betta fishbowls for sale on Etsy!!

Cold days, warm nights....

....thanks in part to this snuggle bear. meet maddie's head. five years, four couches, and at least a dozen dog beds later, she is thankfully becoming the lazy st. bernard that I had signed up for. until recently, she was one of the most energetic dogs I had ever met, and when you weigh 120 pounds, that can be downright destructive.

Robotic Pet Sitter!

Have you guys seen this thing? This robotic pet sitter is hands down one of the most awesome inventions I've seen in quite some time - it's still in the prototype stage, but when it becomes available to the masses I will be first in line! And yes, I understand that this is a bit far-fetched in theory, but at least it's getting the wheels spinning when it comes to the often neglected pet community. While totally impractical for longer vacations (no, I will not be spying on my pet via internet while sipping margaritas in Mexico) it seems like a sensible tool for occasionally checking in on your pet while at work. Scolding my pooch Charlie from the confines of my office? Sign me up!

Puppy Love....

For your pooch or one you know and love, this company is amazing. Paco Collars, a San Francisco based company, designs and manufactures custom leather dog collars. I was introduced to the company through one of my Milwaukee buds, and have had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ana Poe. This is truly one of those companies that you can feel good about purchasing goods from - they do their part to give back to the doggie community.
